Angelina MacLellan-Muise

Registered Psychologist, Founder & Director
(she/her)

With nearly a decade of clinical experience, Angelina MacLellan-Muise takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy. She works with individuals (19+) and couples across PEI, NS, and NB. After several years honing her skills at a reputable private practice in Halifax, NS, Angelina returned home to PEI and opened Angelina MacLellan-Muise Psychological Services in the summer of 2024. She offers both in-person sessions at her office in Charlottetown and virtual appointments to best meet her clients' needs.

Angelina is a Registered Psychologist with both the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology and the PEI Psychologists Registration Board. Her registration is based on her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology and Law) from Dalhousie University.

She has formal training and experience facilitating treatment for individuals experiencing anxiety and/or mood issues, relationship issues, and adjustment issues such as separation, family changes, or educational and career changes. Angelina is equipped to assist individuals who are coping with grief, stress, and burnout, offering compassionate support during challenging times. She is trained in Emotion Focused Couples (EFT-C) therapy, which enables her to work closely with couples to improve communication and foster a stronger emotional connection.

Angelina firmly believes a strong and positive therapeutic relationship is essential to progress and she actively fosters an environment that is warm, non-judgemental, and supportive—built upon the principles of empathy, openness, and trust. To this end, Angelina offers evidence-based approaches for individuals with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), depending on the client’s presenting issue and therapy goals.
